Loading remote content in visual studio '13 for windows RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey, I have a app that I'd like to connect to a socket.io server but whenever I load the client scripts remotely (which I have to) I get this error:

Can’t load <http://pillower.com/socket.io/socket.io.js%22>. An app can’t load remote web content in the local context.

so where is this 'non-local' context? and how would I load socket.io.js?

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses the usage issue of Visual Studio IDE such as WPF & SL designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System and Visual Studio Editor.

It seems that socket.io.js is third-party from: http://socket.io/ In this case, I suggest consulting on Google support: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/socket_io  like this thread: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/socket_io/ojQK5Q3nJ70

    Best regards,
