Fix it Update"...encountered an error..."

Question
-
Tried to update at promptwhen Fix it opened. progress bar for install completed then received message "Fix it Center encountered an error..." Event viewer results;
MATS server encountered a failure when getting HTTP proxy settings. hr-0x80072F94. Keyword: Get Url ProxyInfo.
Tried workaround I used when installing Fix it Center originally, still no success.
Workaround used;
have Toshiba A70 Satellite, 512 MB RAM, XP Home SP3 fully updated, MSE beta 2.0.522.0 Original installcame with Windows Power Shell 1.0 which I uninstalled as there was no indication it was necessary for Fix it Center. Noted in another post that MSXML6 was required and I have MSXML4.0SP2.
Do I need to reinstall Power Shell and do I really need MSXML6? What else might I try?
Thanking anyone in advance for assistance. Please indicate what further information may be required.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your interest in Microsoft Fix it Center (beta).I am sorry to hear about the problem you encountered when updating the Fix it Center application. The requires environment you installed once is enough.Based on your described your issue was happened updating Fix it application and then you seen the error code 0x80072F94 in event log viewer.I think maybe this issue was about network proxy connection. Could you mind tell us where are you updating this application home or company? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks!

Thank you Yan Jun,
In answer to your question, I am installing from home. Went to Internet Options>Connections>Lan Settings and checked "Automatcally detect settings" and tried again to install update with success. Also downloaded one of the tools not previously installed successfully. I am assuming this made the difference although I am stiil wondering if the workaround suggested by MargusS which I applied was necessary.
Could you perhaps reword your statement "The requires environment you installed once is enough." Also should I reset the registry for autorun as in the workaround?

Hi rhabdomnatist,
Thanks for your posted!
Q: "Do I need to reinstall Power Shell and do I really need MSXML6?"
A: When you install Fix it Center it'll automation check download and installed all of requires environment.
So you need only installing "Mr.Fix it", all of requires environment will auto downlaod and installed.
Now I know you have installed "Mr.Fix it" at home if so you need not setting any network proxy by IE default as well. Then you can install and update successfully. If you install at your company or other place you need pay attention to local area network proxy setting is or not allow connect Microsoft "Mr.Fix it" download server. If limit it you maybe will encountered proxy error.
If you still have any doubt and concern about this issue, please let me know. If I misunderstood you, please kindly elaborate your problem. Thanks!
