Windows update fails with 80070641 errors (office 2007). Fix it says and fixes Windows update problem but still have errors RRS feed

    I'm getting errors on windows update for a series of Microsoft office updates

    KB2596598, KB2596744, KB2687310, KB2721691, KB259676, KB2596666

    These get basically 80070641 errors.  So I run Fix it for windows update and it finds errors and fixes things.

    I again try to run windows update and get same errors.  So I run Fix it again for windows update and it again finds/fixes errors.  Out of curiousity, I then immediately re-run fix it for windows update and it again finds and error.  I keep repeating this for several cycles with same results.  Is fix it finding an error, fixes something and not the correct thing??
