A project parameter in the dashboard (2010) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I created 3 Excel Reports (PWA 2010), each of them having a filter on the ProjectName field.

I want to put together these 3 Excel Reports in a Dashboard where I could select one project (the same project) for all the 3 Excel Reports at the same time.

How to build such a parameter at the dashboard level?

    Thanks for your help

  • Take a look at this Blog Post: http://www.epmarchitects.com/create-dynamic-project-status-dashboard-10-minutes-project-server-2010

Steps 2 and 3 are what you are looking for.

  • Hi Prasanna,

I built a dashboard with 4 Excel reports and a connected filter.  The filter displays a beautiful list of all of my projects.

But for two of my Excel reports, I get some errors when I activate the filter:

1°. The selected file cannot be found. Check that the file name is well spelled and that its location is correct.

2° Impossible to display the item. It is not available in the workbook or has not been selected as named item (I checked it is well selected in the workbook)

How is it possible? What can I miss?
