Suspending Task Feature Idea RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I do alot of Video Editing It takes up computing resources and those resources would be interrupted if I was editing and Tune-up or Virus scan started disruppting a Video rendering or something It be cool if I could set or automaticly detect and suspend WLOC or a Manual setup like the firewall does or if the computer goes into Idling or a Browser Opens WLOC would go to full monitoring. But if I was to start a Video project WLOC either automicly or manually enter a Suspended task state freeing up the resources so I can video edit. When I'm done with the program I use WLOC would resume normal Activity.

It could be any High resource activity like Gaming Video Editing also any other activity I didn't think of.

Maybe It be more like a Standby Mode Auto or Manual

    Another Name Low Activity Mode.

  • What do you want to suspend? A/v and spyware monitoring? Tune-up?

  • Like Scheduled Tune up or a scheduled virus scan, In earlier versions of Windows you could pause the scheduled task I don't see that no more in vista and since the only schedule task these days are WLOC It be nice to disable those scheduled task temporarely while I'm working on my projects.
