Is MCITP still a valid certification? RRS feed

    I'm working a government proposal with a very tight suspense.  The requirement is for MCSA Server 2008 OR higher.

    We have submitted people with MCITP server 2008 who appear to be current.

    They sent the following back to us from the MS web.

    Most MCITP certifications will be retired by July 31, 2014.

    I need an official answer from Microsoft and not the Forum.

    Anybody able to help me quickly???

    ALL OF THIS WOULD BE SOLVED IF EXAMS 640/642/646 TAKEN FOR MCITP QUALIFIES FOR MCSA.

    All that means is that after July 31 2014, you will no longer be able to obtain the MCITP certification. If someone already holds a MCITP certification, it will not expire.

    Hi,

    Retired is different from expired, no one able to take the retired exams but those who have already completed it is valid.

    You can send an e-mail to Microsoft certification support to get the office confirmation which you can share with proposal team.

    hello,

    since it is possible to pass the exams and certifications in July, the certification is still valid after that date. The MCITP certification is not going to expire in July.
