Small Biz Server 2003 & WHS

Question

Hi:
I just got an HP EX485 to connect our family 4 PCs. All is running beautiful and it is great to be able to centralize all files. I have installed the WHS connector software on all PCs except my laptop. I'm runing Win Vista Business on this work laptop that connects to a Small Business Server 2003 Premium server/domain when I plug it in at the office.
If I install the WHS connector software, will it erase the office domain settings? The IT guy at work will kill me if I screw my laptop configuration!
Thanks in advance for your help.- Edited by WHS4u Wednesday, April 22, 2009 1:27 AM spell

It should not affect your domain settings. The only problem you may have is at home when you attempt to access the shared folders on the desktop after the install. Vista tries to be helpful and insert the domain name infront of your username when you double click on the shared folders icon. You will need to put in the server name.
i.e.
it will show DOMAINNAME\username
you will change this to <SERVERNAME>\username
and then check the save my credentials box.
As for your IT policy and installing programs, I have no idea what they'll say :)
Thanks!

Thank you Lara! I did install the WHS software connector and it did not break the SBS2003 settings. All is well.
Thanks again for your help.
