Once again, thanks for the feedback. At this time OneCare requires a new blank disc. Although you can use RW discs, plain old write once R discs are quite cheap and, in my opinion, are much better for a backup medium than any RW discs.
As an old time worker in the dataprocessing business, I was trained to have 3 generations of backup sets (grandfather, father, & son). Every time you do a full backup, you use the oldest set. As a result I use RW DVDs, & there not blank. My suggestion about auto erasing the media stands.
It's a good suggestion, Rolly. I was simply offering my opinion in return. Many people have problems with RW discs in OneCare, so improving on the ability to deal with RW discs and being able to erase them for use is a reasonable request.
