CRM2011 online plugin registration System.TimeoutException exception. RRS feed

  • Hello Guys,

                I'm trying to register plugin through plugin registration tool but its not getting register and showing the following error,

    Unhandled Exception: System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:01:59.9469710. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.

    What could be solution for this?

  • Great observation, the huge size of your plugin file and the slow internet is the culprit. Reduce the size of Xrm.cs by removing classes(of entities) you are not using and try again. Before trying to register, check if the size of your dll file is not huge.

    I think there is a tutorial here to reduce Xrm.cs size:

    or just use some internet connection which has very good UPLOAD speed and can upload 5 - 10 MB in under a minute!

  • If I add early bound class(Xrm.cs) in solution project then only this error is coming else its not coming.
