  • I installed a standard USB printer connected to the print server port on my Netgear wireless router.  Maybe a similar setup would work for you.

Once you have the printer drivers installed, choose Add Printer, and manually configure the port.  Choose Standard (or Generic) TCP/IP port.

Here are the port settings I use for my Canon PIXMA MP600 USB Multifunction Printer with a Netgear FWG114PV2 wireless router with print server.  The IP Address might be different for your Print Server.

    Port Name: IP_192.168.0.1
    IP Address: 192.168.0.1
    Protocol: LPR
RAW: 515 (I don't think this number matters in my case)
    LPR Settings: LPT1
