I installed a standard USB printer connected to the print server port on my Netgear wireless router. Maybe a similar setup would work for you.
Once you have the printer drivers installed, choose Add Printer, and manually configure the port. Choose Standard (or Generic) TCP/IP port.
Here are the port settings I use for my Canon PIXMA MP600 USB Multifunction Printer with a Netgear FWG114PV2 wireless router with print server. The IP Address might be different for your Print Server.
Port Name: IP_192.168.0.1
IP Address: 192.168.0.1
Protocol: LPR
RAW: 515 (I don't think this number matters in my case)
LPR Settings: LPT1Wednesday, April 22, 2009 5:04 PM -
David, sorry, i forgot to say, that when i used standart drivers from windows update i used with it Generic TCP/IP port like u) but for me it's IP_192.168.10.10, but it doesnt matter, cause with standart drivers priter print all text like it doesnt have cartridge at all, but i know, it has)
