As D.W. says creating a standard repair disk as far as I know is not a supported scenario. However as WHS 2011 is bases on Server 2008 I would expect creating a repair disk to be an option. I did not test this so at this point I do not know what might be the cause your problem.
However, the "designed" ways to do repairing is through initiating a system restore using the WHS 2011 backup disk:
Using the Dashboard you add an additional internal or external (preferred) disk as a "backup disk". This will enable a scheduled backup of your server system and data (default schedule is twice a day).
To restore your system to a previous state (or restore the system to a new system disk when it fails) use the "restore files or folders for the server" option from the Dashboard and follow the wizard to restore the system disk.- Theo.

Hi,
"Creating a restore disk for the server" is not standard functionality for Windows Home Server 2011.
If you need help on WHS 2011 could you please explain in more detail what you are trying to do?- Theo.

I'd say thats probably not supported in WHS 2011. To get the same results though, you can just boot from the install disk. WHS 2011 isn't meant to be used at the OS level.

Thanks for the replies fellows... Just trying to make some sense out of this thang...
But my problem is I don't have a drive that is suitable for a backup of the OS... you see, my server drives and my backup are both 8TB. This ill conceived OS can't deal with it. Amazing, isn't it. I have to use robocopy to backup my server drives... Sad but true...
