I am so tired of trying to force windows to update. Brand new machines out of the box takes an entire day to start downloading/installing updates.
I have tried forcing updates through GPO changes, Azure AD joins/windows 10 update ring policies through Intune Device Management, Non-AD joined machines, local profiles, Azure AD profiles, changing active hours, etc. Nothing will get the available updates
to begin downloading until I come back to the machine after it being powered on overnight.
Currently the machine is stuck at Downloading - 0% on the Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.327.1197.0) update. The rest of them are marked as "Pending Download".
Deploying new machines is now a days long process because of this Windows Update Issue. I cannot install Microsoft Edge until these updates are completed, but Windows will not download any updates!
Is there anything else I can do to force these windows updates to begin without waiting on the machine overnight?
