Microsoft Training Guide eBooks now include practice tests

General discussion

Hi,
I have just logged into O'Reilly site and the Microsoft Training Guide ebooks now appear to include pratice tests in the CD Contents.
I have downloaded 70-511, 70-515, 70-433 and 70-448 cd contents all have practice tests. So no reason not to buy ebooks, cheaper, lighter and save the environment.
Kind Regards,
Ozzy Geoff

Ahh ... that are very good news! I have to confess that I already gave up on Oreilly! I got a Subscription for MS Press books (Thank you Microsoft for this kind present!) and I missed the books. So I asked the support about the missing 70-515 and 70-511 books and got an very disappointing answer (the books will not be part of my subscription - ok but a shame :) - and that even the other subscription only includes the 70-515 and they will not add the other books any more. But maybe that was all because of the problems with the practice tests? No idea - but I think I will go and buy some eBooks now!
(I do not care about the practice tests. I normaly spend some bucks on MeasureUp ... Once you are a customer you get often offers like 40% off or so :) So I already thought about ordering the books just to get the CD and put the books somewhere where I no longer see them :) ).
So thank you for sharing this information!

Hi Konrad,
If you create an account they have a good offer, if you buy two ebooks you get 50% off (actually says buy one get one free, but they work it out by give you 50% off both), so if you want 511 and 515 books this will make it a bit cheaper. Also get 4 or 5 formats including PDF and mobi.

lol,
I don't think that Ozzy will share any dumps. I even doubt that he has dumps, because from what I read his attitude is, that he really wants to know the stuff so he simply learns everything that must be known for the exams (and even more).
And if you check the forum a little more, you will find out that dumps are something unwanted in here. What the hell is the benefit of a certification through dumps? Ok, you get the interview but then people will laugh at you, because they will find out, that you have no idea what you are talking about!
Ozzy: Sorry that I talked about you that way. Hope it was ok for you.
With kind regards,
Konrad

Hi Ozzy,
That is good to know and that point was the only one that scared me a little. But I found this request a little funny so I wanted to respond, too :)
With kind regards,
Konrad

Happy to see this is not a forum for dumps, being the local distributor for Microsoft Press in Australia.
Hard copies also have full eBook and practice papers, mostly [grin], discount coupon for taking test.
Sorry to say we don't have the ebooks just yet for OZ
Cheers

I really dont know whats going on with MS press hard-copies. I had books of 70-433 and 70-448. The paper quality was really good.
I recently got the book for 70-515
Now a days it looks like reading some junk article newspaper. Really if you want to save the cost, do it otherwise rather than reducing the quality of paper. How cheap is that and this is the first time I see where a computer related technical book come in such a low quality.
I need to have bright light to even look into it and its so bad.
The only reason I bought hard-copy is it has both e-book and hard copy which made me feel very convenient to use.I hope atleast in future paper quality would be better
Hope this info helps - RakeshWednesday, August 3, 2011 2:10 PM
