  • I checked my HOSTS, checked the internet browser security sites. And I just hate it when a machine starts doing my thinking for me.
What has changed, I really can't say. But I can no longer access anything at tinyurl.com. Can't even access the root site.

I'm asking here cause there's not much support for all my other paranoia software of which there are many.

  • If it is only a single domain it may be a DNS issue with your ISP.

  • What it is, is Zone Alarm. I unplugged za forcefield and it went back to work.
Trouble is it isn't so much a configuration problem as it is a call home config problem where za calls the mother ship for daily instructions, and removes control from the pilot.
I'm guessing ZA has outlived it's usefulness.
