The hard drive on my computer recently failed. I replaced the hard drive and installed Windows 7 Home Premium and did a clean install. My product key obviously didn't work (I KNOW IT WON'T - please don't tell me "your problem is that it is an upgrade version!").
Last time I had to do a clean install I called the help line and the representative took control of my computer remotely to activate it. Since I do not have free phone support any longer, can anyone tell me who to contact to get it remotely activated again?
Thank you.
Only a Microsoft rep can activate it for you. Don't be too quick to assume that Microsoft will charge you for activation help. The fees are usually charged for post installation issues.
