How to create an Item in the MS Outlook Messenger just setting the due date of an email or phone activity in CRM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I've have a request coming from some collegues of mine.
They asking me if is possible to have reflected in the own MS Outllook Calendar the "due date" value of an email or phone call activity.
this is possible for an appointment  activity but it seems not for the other kind of activity.

anyone knows a possible solution to this issue?

thanks a lot for the help

  • Hi,

One way to do this is to update a synchronized field from the e-mail and phone call activity with the due date of the activity so the value will pass to Outlook.  However, this will not put the e-mail or phone call activity in the Calendar view, it will just pass the data through the synchronization process. Take a look at the Outlook synchronization paper to see available fields for the entity types.

This is a potential suggestion for the Microsoft Connect site.  You can search the site to see if the suggestion already exists and vote for it.  If you do not find it then you can add it and get others to vote for it.
