Problem With Referals ? RRS feed

    Hi friends ,

          The Referals sections given here dont not work for me . I have sent 2 referal mails to my friends with the correct mobile no . But they didnt received either the Mail or SMS ..... Does any one got the Referal mails .. or tell me what i have to do for this ?

    Mohan ,

     

    1st cross check the mail address of the referral given to ur friend and his mobile number. if this is correct according to ur given info then, check the referral mails in their mailbox and mobile number. after all these, if doesnt be right, then just try to register for new  for same referral. while giving referral , if u give the mail id and mobile number of same friend, then the section displays already registered, i.e. the problem with ur browser.

    I hav given a wrong mobile no. while giving referal to my frnd.

    he has not registered yet. how cud i change the mobile no.

    Since the referrals are being marked by mobile number, i think if you change the mobile number, you can send it again, preferably also to a different email.

    Man when you refer your friend with the mobile number, He will not get an sms immediately. He has to first signup on the rockstar site EXACTLY FROM THE LINK GIVEN IN THE EMAIL (else you wont get points). And once he has sucesfully signed up at rockstar from the link provided, he/she will get an SMS immediately, which he/she can enter and allow to give you points for the fact that you invited them Smile

    But problem is that many referral mails remained undelivered to my frenz. I told them to check the bulk folder too.

    I lost out many points. Now cant even reffer them once more, coz the mobile number is the primary key in the database.

    To be on the safe side, you can manually send the link to yoru friends. by sending another email from your adderss.

    the referal link will be like this :

    http://www.studentrockstar.com/RegistrationForm.aspx?EmailID=email_id_of_your_friend_here


    What you can do is, send the email to your friend first (as mentioned above)

    and then refer your friend, so that your friend receives yoru email first, and while viewing it, he will register from there, incase he dont get the mail from MS.

    I tried your method. My friend could register, he got the code, he verified. But I didnt get the points.

    Till now I have not been able to score a single point for referral in this contest, coz most of the mails didnt reach. My rank is falling constantly.

    Hey...the problem ive got is that they're recieving the mails right....but the link just directs them to the default homepage & therefore they are not sent a verification code on mobile...neither are they asked for one...!!

    Any solution to that????

    when i sent a referral to one of my frinend. he recieved a mail with the link. After signing in and completing the registration only,he recieved the verification code SMS, not before registration. I hope this will solve your doubt Harshil.

               Redirection to the Default Page doesnt matters , becoz The email Id and Mobile no will be mapped as Your Referal ..... So when ever that Email [ur friend ] registers and enters the code , You get a point ... !!

    Hey man the referral link that is sent in the email contains the email address of your friend.

    When you click on that link, you will be redirected to the main page (thats perfectly normal, and thats what is expected)...... the email address provided in the link itself, is stored inside the session variable, and hence YOU HAVE TO signup USING THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS, in the same SESSION itself without opening a new browser window. Once you signup with that email sucessfully, and after you fill up the form , the email address will be matched with the one that is stored in the session variable, and if it matches, then you will get that referral link, else you will not get.

    I hope everyone understands how the referrals works internally.

    Yes....there's such a problem with the referrals....so many of my friends have registered coz of me but i havent got  a single point added...!!! Something must be done about this.,..!!!!

    hi vandhana ,

              I like to tell you one thing !! You have to change your Forum profile name ! Else you will not get any points in the Rockstar ... So do change ur profile Display name .,....

    And Your Referals have to be properly guided by u in order for them to Signup correctly ...!! They do mistakes bcoz u didnt instruct them abut it !! U follow this you will get the points !!

    First your fren will be directed to the home page(mapped with ur frenz e-mail id). Then he/she has to register. After that he/she will get another e-mail and sms for enter the sms code.

    This is the procedure.
