I cannot reply to any thread using my browser - Opera 12.16.
The console reveals an error:

Isn't stable Opera up to version 19 now? I haven't regularly used it in a looong time, but that's what I saw when I hit the site earlier.
As for IE8, there's plenty of complaints about it not being usable here after the forums upgrade last June. Here's one thread you can look through for some fun:
Just for funsies I'll see what Opera version I have installed on my laptop when I get home and see if I'm able to post here or not.

Hi,
Are you able to reply with any other browser? I don't have Opera installed here, but I can try later when I'm in front of a machine with Opera installed.
Also, try updating Opera to the latest version and see if that helps.

Like I'm gonna update Opera. The new versions are a mess.
It works fine using Firefox (like I'm doing now). But Opera is my "browsing" browser, so to speak. Firefox I only use for development.
Well, I highly doubt you'll get Microsoft to fix something that's broken in an outdated browser, but we'll see.Don't retire TechNet! - (Don't give up yet - 12,575+ strong and growing)

Meh, I wouldn't call Opera 12 outdated.
Besides, the "new" Opera versions are just beta's anyway. They are missing massive amounts of features they haven't (yet) bothered to put back in. That's why I call them beta. They're nearly there, but current Opera 20 is still a joke compared to what Opera 12 can do, because of a few small things still missing.
On the flipside, if this site works fine in IE8, I don't think expecting it to work in other outdated browsers too, is that much to ask for ;)

Either way, an error is an error. Even *if* the browser is outdated, in terms of javascript Opera is a well capable browser. An error is an indication that something is wrong (doh), even if it works for other browsers.
/edit
Still doesn't work. Microsoft? A response please?

Is this still an issue? If so, we can unmark some answers. I think we have another thread about Opera incompatibility as well.
Please report any issues to fissues at Microsoft.
Thanks!
