  • Hi,

     

    is Office Communicator 2007 terminalserver aware? Customer asked me to install it on a Windows (Citrix) Terminalserver?

  • It works, but only for IM.  App sharing, whiteboarding, phone integration, etc. are all unsupported.

    thanks for your answer. Do you know if the this also true for the LiveMeeting Console?

     

    So I think it would be better for them to use CWA for Terminalserver users...

  • The current version of Live Meeting is supported on Citrix/Terminal Server.  It seems unlikely that this support will be removed.

  • From the Office Communications Server 2007 supportability guide:

    Remote Desktop Support

    Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 support Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix Metaframe only when used for text chats and presence.

    Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 is not optimized for use with terminal services.  Features and functionality are not supported when used in a remote desktop environment.

  • I saw that for Windows 2008 R2 Teminal Services bidirection Audio will be supported so this may change when Windows 2008 R2 Releases
