How Active is the Sync Framework Core development? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am currently investigating the Microsoft Sync Framework, as the core synchronization platform with my current application being developed, and would like to understand how active is the development of the core MSF 2.1. Currently from what I could see is that there hasn't been any new release for some time, and would like to just understand if:

A.) The Framework has just been very stable, and hasn't required any bug fixes since 2.1, and contains all the require extensibility for developers to include within there own development?

B.) The framework is not very well used (hard to believe since basis for SQL Azure Data Sync) and any further development has been stopped?

As you can imagine this would ultimately determine if I go ahead and use MSF as the synchronization platform.
