IFD in 4.0 suddenly stopped working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Suddenly users can no longer log on using ifd.  Can logon when on the server without a problem.  Has any one encountered this before?  Any suggestions on what to look for?

  • Jamie, we have resolved the issue.  Apparently while doing some work with the Async process, the service was paused.  That meant the logon tickets expired, causing the logon to fail.  Once the async service was restarted, everything started working again.

  • can you log on from other computers on the same network from the web client?  Also, how is your IFD configuration set up.  Did you enter the server IP address in the tool or the network IP Address.  If you change the it from the server ip address (IE... 192.168.7.1) to the network address (IE... 192.168.7.0) it should restore functionality at least within your network.  I would look at your DNS set up to determine why it might not be working outside the network.  Something may have changed.
