  • I just checked your "my threads" page and it seems updated:

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/user/threads?user=Anandakumar.R

There's an aggregator job in our backend servers that runs every 10 minutes. This job updates the following pages:

"My Threads", "My Alerts" and Points calculation. You should those pages update every 10 minutes (depending the last time it ran).

Also, I just checked this job and there are no known issues.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Scot,

You should see an "All Threads" drop down filter ("Answered, "UnAnswered", "Proposed Anwered" and "All DIscussions") while in you're in the "My Threads" page. This should help you scope the results down to those filters. I've also see other people request this this type of default view should be made available via My Settings page. This, I believe we have in our feature list.

    Thanks for the feedback.

  • There are issues anyway regarding participation in threads long deleted, your issue should be sorted by then too.

  • Hi Don,

Personally I'd like it much much more if the page (my threads) displayed entries according to whether or not they are answered, not so much the time when they were last posted to etc.

I believe some options here would make the experience much more satisfying for users' at large.

    Thank you

  • Thanks Don.

A bit strange as well that a user can propose 2 answers, do you think?

    Many regards.

  • This is by design. There could multiple posts within a thread that is deemed the answer for that thread. This provides other Forum Users to propose answers (helps community participation). Although, some users do abuse the feature by proposing posts that doesn't address/resolve the OP's question. This feature has been long debated by community members, besides proposing multiple posts as answers but also having the user (who replied to the thread) propose posts as answers. Mixed opinions by community members but for now it's by design.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Don,

    That's precisely what I'm saying..

..what is the point of the OP being able to propose their own responses as answers, and anyone being able to propose more than one post as an answer, especially with this (answerz) but maybe in the more technical forums it might be ok.

The example I cite, is windows live mail "forums" there needs to be a framework (not visual) that includes similar functionality but here at this place.
