MS CRM 2013 Online Appointment "Save & Close" option not working correctly RRS feed

  • Hi guys,

    Just wondering if you have seen this behaviour in MS CRM 2013 Online.

    I have created number of appontments under organisations. When I click "Save & Close" option it closes the form but does not  save the appointment most of the times. Steps to test this.

    Organisations or Contacts > Activities > Add New Activity > appointment

    fill up required fields and click "Save & Close"

    This closes the form but the appointment is not saved most of the times. It works occassionaly. I have done Advanced Finds to search for the appointments created on the day without luck. Hitting the "Save" button saves the appointment without any issues.

    Any Ideas?

  • Just want to let you know that this will be fixed in Service pack 1 for CRM 2013.

    • Users of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Update Rollup will notice that the Save and Close button does not save appointments or recurring appointments they've entered.

  • Hi Eranger,I have created a new appointment as an activity under the already created contact and its working absolutely fine at here.  Please refresh your page and try again.

  • Thanks Ali. Did you create more than 1 appointment? You might have to try it couple of times at least. I have refreshed the page without luck. Please also make sure that you indeed use the "Save & Close" option when saving the appointment.

    I have used this from Internet explorer 9 and Chrome without luck :(

    I would love to hear feedback from others as well :) Thanks.

  • Yep, here the same. "SAVE & CLOSE" is not working for any entity.

    Usually it's not very far from the on premise releases. I am sure MS will release it for Online customer soon after. :)

  • The fix isn't in 2013 UR3 (because I'm still seeing the bug).

    The problem only occurs when your appointment times clash.   "Save and close" just throws the appointment away.  "Save" tells you about clash (or perhaps it's just unavailability) and allows you to ignore and continue with the save.
