  • Have you made the reports available to the while organisation through the actions menu? Reports comply with standard security so if they're not shared or made a system report, no one can see them.

  • The reason normal users can't run reports is becuase he/she is not allowed to run reports. Administrators block the access to data for secure porpuses. SO, to resolve this issue, that normal user needs to be assigned a privilege to do reports to his/her role by  the Admin. If this user doesn't have a role, create one and add as many privileges you what including Run Reports. Hope solve your issue. :)

  • Hey,

you just need to set privilege for the security role  on report that you have given to user.

    From SDK

    Privileges by Entity

Microsoft Dynamics CRM ships with a set of thirteen predefined roles that reflect common user roles with access levels defined to match the security best-practice goal of providing access to the minimum amount of business data required for the job. You can also create custom roles. Each role is associated with a set of privileges that determines the user's access to information within the company. These privileges determine what actions a user with that security role can perform on entities. For more information see the Role-Based Security and Object-Based Security.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM includes the privileges, listed in the following table, that apply to most entity types.

    Privilege Description
    Create Create an entity.
    Read View entities.
Write Make changes to entities for users.
    Delete Remove entities for users.
Append Associate a selected entity to another entity.
Append To To associate an entity to this entity.
Assign Give access to entities to another user.
Share Give access to entities to another user while keeping your own access.
Reparent Assign a different parent to an entity.
Enable/Disable Give or take away privileges.

Just give them access and they will be able to run report.

  • Hi,

First you need to understand privileges are set through security roles, if you want the user should be able to run report you need to modify the security role that you have given to that user. set required privileges for report, then all the users who have assiged this security role can access reports. also if you don't want to give to all user then create another role (by coping old one) and give privileges to run report and then assign this role only to that user which require reports.

Let us know if you have any issue
