How to make public an Office Comunications Server 2007? RRS feed

    Hey everyone,

    i have office communications server 2007 on my win 2003 R2 server, it seems to be working fine from 2 months, now i want to advance the features step by step with your help,

    i use my domain as internal, i mean first i tried my office com. server 07 internal and now i want to make it public(just for instant messaging now), what should i now? i don't have any records on the public dns and also don't have a public certificate, can you help and direct me please? by the way i have standard edition installed and that's it)

  • You'll need to deploy an OCS Edge Server in a perimeter network and configure a few things in order to allow external access.  The OCS 2007 Edge Deployment Guide will get you started in the right direction.  I highly recommend reading through it and all of the other guides.  Also take a look at some of my blogs as I've attempted to explain some of the more confusing portions of the Edge deployment.
