How to store configuration setting in MS dynamics CRM 2011? RRS feed

  • Hi Team,

    I am new in MS dynamics CRM 2011 and  want to store userid  just like we store in web.config or session in asp.net in CRM so that i can use same userid while creating new lead or contact to add same records in my external application based on userid.So how can i create custom object same like saleforce for storing the value.Please provide me the example that explain the same its very urgent.

  • Hi Pankaj,

    You can set in IE to prompt for username and password whenever you first open your site. This way the first time you open your CRM, it will prompt you with username and password. Then you provide once and use that user to do your entries in CRM.

    But my requirement is something different.I have custom entity in that have two field name and password when i click on save button i write some javascript code that call webservice and generate key and i want to store that key in some custome entity so that when i add lead or contact from CRM it use that key and add same records to my external application.So please let me know where i store the key?
