How to access a Dynamics CRM 2016 test environment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi community,

We are a software vendor who developed a connectivity between our Marketing Automation solution and Dynamics CRM 2013 using the WCF API (sync of tables between our system and Dynamics CRM). We now need to update this connectivity to Dynamics CRM 2016.

    • How can we access a CRM 2016 version for development and testing purposes? Do we really need to install a full on-premise server or can we access a CRM Online version?
    • Is this covered as part of MSDN or do we need to subscribe to a commercial version? If yes, which one?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

    Alex

  • You could either use an OnPremise instance, or an Online one. Most MSDN Subscription licenses include a server license for CRM 2016, but you'd have to check your license.

It may be worth investigating if you can become a Microsoft Partner, as your connector could count as an ISV solution for Dynamics - Microsoft Partner subscriptions should include CRM Online licenses
