  • There is a problem with your Software Protection Service - have you been using any type of Registry Cleaner? (DON'T!!)

Please open an Elevated (Administrator) Command Prompt window and use the following commands....

    net start sppsvc

    sc qc sppsvc

    sc queryex sppsvc

    sc qprivs sppsvc

    sc qsidtype sppsvc

    sc sdshow sppsvc

Copy and paste the output to your reply

Here are some instructions to make life easier :)

    1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.

    2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.

    3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

  • Tell your friend to stay way from your system in future!

You can reinstall using the manufacturer's Recovery media - order it from their website

You can reinstall Windows using the download for your version, edition and language from the links at the following website-

http://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft - you will need the SP1 refresh.

You then install it using the Key from the COA sticker on the case of your machine.

For instructions - see this tutorial.... http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html?ltr=C
