VLK no longer in use by Issuer

Question
-
I have a new computer where I installed the volume licensing version of XP. Upon validation I get the message that the VLK is no longer in use by the Issuer.
I am the original purchaser of this license key through my company. I sold the company but am in possession of all of the hardware and software for legitimate licensing. I have 4 total computers with the validation and this is the 5th, but it will not accept validation.
I have the disks, not the COA. The disk is holographic, and says :Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.
Additionally, I own about 6 other licenses that came with various PCs that are no longer in use. Thus, all of my efforts to be legitimate, and correct have now been thwarted by WGA and I am very frustrated.
Please help.
JOHN

Please visit http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1683292&SiteID=25 and read the post submitted by "Dan at IT Associates" on 03 Jun 2007. It is noted that Microsoft has blocked your volume license key for Windows XP as it was illegally distributed to others. You would have to contact your original authorized Microsoft Volume License Reseller to obtain a new product key.

If your old company purchased the Volume Licenses, they still belong to that particular company. Volume Licensing is not transferrable to other companies or individuals.Thursday, January 17, 2008 6:45 PMModerator

thanks for the quick reply -- but I was the company (if that makes any sense). I maintained all of the hardware and software when I sold the rights to my company. Thus, no one would ever know this is the case.
So - the issue at hand remains. the VLK message I am getting. Any ideas? Or, can I use any of the copies of XP I have? I have at least 5 or 6 in various states that say new PC, etc. But, all of those PCs died at some point. I also had numerous upgrade copies.
I am just trying to get to the place I need to be:
1) I own a VLK
2) I own 5 or 6 copies of various new and upgrade versions
3) I just built a new PC and want to activate a license.
Help.
John
