As Carey says - but fails to explain - your Licenses for both XP and Office are non-genuine.
Does the PC have a COA Sticker on it? If so, for what version and edition of Windows?

It's almost certainly for Windows NT or Windows 98, since the BIOS is dated 1999 - and it's unlikely that a machine of that age can truly run Windows XP at its full capacity (although I ran one happily for years of a similar age, it was never particularly fast, or effective, and it slowed with every update of XP).

There is no way that your machine is capable of running a modern OS (which is all you can expect to safely purchase), so you may be reduced to purchasing either a second-hand Retail disk or a very risky OEM disk from eBay - if you do so, be VERY careful about it, as the majority of software purchased from such places is counterfeit.

  • Unfortunately, the installed copies of Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office XP are non-genuine, pirated copies of "Volume License" software which once belonged to a major business enterprise.  In order to fix this problem, you'll need to purchase genuine Microsoft software, reformat your hard drive and perform a "clean install".  You can purchase genuine Microsoft software from the Microsoft Store.
