Computer & Backup with Evaluation Copy?

Question
-
Hi all, I just installed evaluation copy of WHS for testing, for some reason the server cannot see any of my network PC for Backup. Do I need to install a valid copy of WHS to do backup or did I did something wrong? ThanksSunday, January 24, 2010 1:56 AM

The CD that you made from the download has a folder called Home Server Connect Software. Copy it to a USB drive or CD. From that fold run the setup.exe file on each of your computers. Once you do that, then you can set up that computer for backup.
I wish that they had a easy step by step instructions for this and the rest of the setup, but so far I haven't been able to find one. Does anyone have a link that they can post for this?
Thanks and good luck.

In it's present incarnation, Windows Home Server is OEM and system builder software. There is no retail packaging available. As such, manuals are provided by the builder of the computer, not Microsoft, though you'll find plenty of information here . Tt's not really "end user" level documentation; there are reviewer guides, informaiton system builders would find useful, technical briefs, etc.
And in this case, the system builder is you. :)
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)- Marked as answer by Jonas Svensson -FST- Thursday, January 28, 2010 11:05 PM
