I have four touch screen panel pc (running windows XP Pro), which were never equipped with a key board or a mouse. The plan was to use the On-Screen Keyboard (osk.exe) with the GINA duing logon and after logon with the desktop. I did not plan to develop a customized GINA or have to run the accessibility manager to do this. I have manage to get the osk.exe process to launch with the GINA at the windows login with the following registry change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /Software /Microsoft /windows NT /CurrentVersion /winlogon:System "c:\windows\system32\osk.exe". The on-screen keyboard does launch with the the GINA and you can you it to type user name and password. However, once you have logged on, the process osk.exe is no longer vissible, but it is still running under System in the task manager. How do you keep the osk.exe process vissible or active on the desktop after you have logged on, so you can use it?
I have tried a few different forums, misc for instance, but never seem to get an answer or the thread just goes cold. Who should address something like this, I really need to get this to work, and it can't be that hard to do?
