PC-to-PC Calling via Edge Server RRS feed

  • Question

  •

We are unable to establish PC-to-PC calls through the Edge Access Server to external clients. The AV session appears to be trying to connect, but sits at the Call Connecting screen for roughly 10 seconds before it states Call Disconnected. I have found the following in the OCS Server and Office Communicator logs both state: Ms-client-diagnostics: 52031; reason="Call terminated on media connectivity failure". Has anyone resolved a similar issue?

Note: We are not using a mediation server as this is strictly for PC-to-PC calling at this point. And the pool is pointed to the internal FQDN of the edge server at port 5062; while the server in the pool is listening on port 5063.

  • Jeremy,

Perhaps some more details regarding your configuration might help, but as a first step do you have a public IP address assigned to the interface that the A/V Service is using?  I would look closely at the configuration around your A/V Edge Server.

  • I'm getting the same code but the call doesnt conect at all, Currently we dont have an edge server inplace, The only call i managed to conduct was one from my desktop to my laptop, all calls over our VPN fail. I'm looking into my issue at the minute and will update if i find a fix.

    Thanks
