Calls to Communicator Mobile over WLan RRS feed

  • Hello!

    Is it possible to make communicator-calls, when I´m logged in my company´s

    network over wlan with my communicator mobile,

    e.g. making a call to a computer´s communicator client???

    Is it in general possible to make calls with communicator mobile if not with wlan??

    This is not possible in the 2.0 release of communicator mobile

    But i really hope they build the feature back in to como in the future

  • I wish it was never taken away to begin with. Is there any documentation stating why it was officialy removed from the latest 2007 MOC client? This is one huge negative for the mobile client.

  • The problem was roaming over different access points proved to be very painfull

    Don't think this will be solved any time soon

  • Can a single WiFi radio lock on to 2 WiFi AP signals at the same time in order to provide a connection overlap? If not, I don't see any way for the software to support seamless WiFi transition if the hardware isn't capable of simultaneous AP connections.

     

    What about the range boost of Wireless N and N-Ultra? If your entire office or building has access with an N-ultra signal, then voip shouldn't be a problem without the need for wifi handoff capabilities. Ideal for small business.
