  Office is its own product and must be purchased separately.

  You can download a free trial of Office that is fully functional for 60 days from the Office Trial site:  http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try/try-office-2010-FX101868838.aspx  After the trial is over, you have to buy Office for it to continue to work at a fully functional level.

  I am not aware of any specials promoted by Microsoft that offer a free license for Office when purchasing a license for Windows 7.
