Backup incomplete due to missing drive

Question
-
I am running WHS in my house. I have 3 computers currently connected to it.. 2 Vista machines, and 1 XP machine. Over the weekend, I upgraded one of my Vista machines. It has 2 hard drives in it, and 80GB which is the OS drive, and a 300GB which is just a data drive. I replaced the 300 with a 500, and now the console is telling me my backups are incomplete due to a missing volume. I re-ran the "configure backup" and it only shows that it is attempting to backup the 2 volumes that are now in that pc. Still, its telling me that volume is missing, and it successfully backed up the other 2 volumes (the only 2 that are in there). So from there, I uninstalled the connector software, and removed the computer from the whs console. This of course, removing all backups that have been done on this pc from the server. I then reinstalled the connector software, and reconfigured the backups. It ran for quite a few hours since it had to re-do all of that data... this morning, it says that its missing that volume still. How can i get it to NOT look for that volume that i have removed?Tuesday, May 1, 2007 3:57 PM

Mike, this was a known bug in the CTP build which got fixed later on. Although it says backup is incomplete, the backup for your two configured voumes should be complete and you would be able to use the backup normally to retstore your volumes if you can ignore the inconvenient warning message about it being incomplete.Tuesday, May 1, 2007 7:09 PMModerator

Any idea of when a new build will be available to testers to fix this issue?
Thanks,

I am suffering this problem having removed an external HD from my machine. WHS backup now tells me that it is "Missing". Can anybody tell me if this has been fixed yet and how to implement the fix? I was thinking of installing the WHS Toolkit and deleting the backup log. Would that help?
