TRYING TO ENABLE WINDOWS ANTISPY, BUT WON'T COM
1. experiencing popup warning of spyware and directing me to a dubious action. Message "Your computer is infected. Windows has detected spyware infection! It is recommend that you download........."
2. McAfee will not enable all its services, specifically:
"real-time scanning is disabled; spyware and potentially unwanted program scanning is disabled; IM scanning is disabled; Script Scanning is disabled; Buffer overflow protection is disabled."' I attempted to use McAfee's FIX menu. Didn't work. Tried their Virtual Technician. Didn't work.
3. I ran a SDAT full scan, about 21 hours worth, No benefit. McAfee still not working.
4. if absolutely necessary, I'll uninstall McAfee to install either windows defender or onecare. Attempts to install both were unsucessful. Possibly arus is blocking the install.
