  • Question

  • Does anyone know whether it will be possible (now or in the future) to use OCS2007 telephony integration with Avaya's IP Office platform?

    Thanks.....Jason.

Tommy, would you be willing to expand on your experience integrating IP Office with OCS 2007? I'm about to embark on the same journey and would appreciate any advice or tips. Especially in relation to setting up the gateway etc.

We've got IP Office using an ISDN30 and more recently a couple of SIP Trunks.

I am right in thinking that OCS can't communicate directly with IP Office via SIP? And it can't yet route calls directly over a SIP Trunk without the need for more hardware other than a mediation server?

    Cheers,

    Steve

  • Hi There,

Also hugely interested in your experience doing this Tommy, we have a mixed Definity and IPO environment and have recently deployed the first phase of our OCS infrastructure, very impressed with the application so far.

If you have any informaiton you are willing to share (like whihc version of the Dialogic GW you used etc, that'd be much appreciated)

    Best,

    Jim

  • Hi,

It is possible to integrate to the IP Office with the use of a third party gateway. The integration is pretty straight forward but if you want to use IP Office just for UM then it gets a little tricky.
