Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 5000 Function Keys don't work as functions, i.e., F1, F2, F3,... RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 5000 and I can't get the function keys to work as the applicable function.  So how do I get the F9 to perform the F9 functions of the program I am in.  Or for that matter, F1 through F12 to perform as regular function keys not the other functions.  I am using Windows 7 home premium. It would be nice if this keyboard came with a manual or manual on a pdf file or something that explains how to operate it.

Thanks in advance for your help with this.  I am using a program that uses function keys and this makes things difficult to say the least. :-(
