Office Pro 2007 reinstallation on new machine fails Genuine Advantage Validation

Question
-
I recently purchased a new pc with Windows 7 Professional. I had purchased a retail version of Office Pro 2007 several months ago and it ran fine on my old pc before I purchased my new pc. I was having problems with my old pc and replaced the hard drive and reinstalled my windows XP Pro operating system on it. I reinstalled Office 2007 Pro and it was activated with no problems. A week or two later, I finally replaced my old pc as the system was still locking up and rebooting. I was able to activate Office 2007 Pro on my new system, but now when I launch Excel or Word I get the Genuine Advatage warning that it is a valid license. The SKU # on the Office 2007 case is 269-11094 which the online stores show as a full retail version. I also have Office 2003 Pro installed and it passes the GAV.
here is the results of the Genuine Advantage diagnostics tool.

Hello Steve B2,
I understand that you purchased what you thought was a retail license for Office Professional 2007, but as the mgadiag utility has reported, you really ended up with a copy of Office Professioanl Plus 2007, which is sold only thru Volume Licensing channels.
If you are an individual consumer, you should never have been sold Volume Licensing materials such as VL discs, and you certainly should not have received an Invalid Product Key. In the case of your purchase of Office Professional Plus 2007, quite often people purchase what is advertised and packaged as a retail license for Office Professional 2007, but all too often, the product they receive is a counterfeit Office package that installs a nongenuine copy of Office Professional Plus 2007. This would seem to be the situation in your case.
Your first course of action is to confront the seller of your Office Professional Plus 2007 with this information and demand either a full refund. Please do not accept any offer of sending you a product key to be used with software downloaded from Microsoft as a correction of the problem, because it is likely the product key they will email to you will turn up as a nongenuine product key, too. If the seller refuses to refund your money, please pursue whatever remedies are available to you thru the selling venue, your payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc), or the legal system in your area.
Also, depending upon whether you received "high quality" counterfeit materials, you may qualify for the Office Complimentary Offer or for the Office Genuine Advantage discounted offer. Please see the FAQ here: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/downloads/FAQ.aspx?displaylang=en#ID0EKNAC If you decide to participate in the Office Genuine Offer, please initiate the process by clicking on the "Learn More Online" link shown in the nongenuine notices on your screen.
As Darin mentioned, the good news is that your Office 2003 is genuine and you can continue to use that normally until the siutation with Office 2007 has been resolved.

Hello Steve B2,
OGA Data-->
Office Status: 108 Invalid VLK
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 100 Genuine
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 - 108 Invalid VLK
OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0
Signed By: Microsoft
The Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 is Non-Genuine. It was installed using a Invalid Volume Licensce Key (VLK).
VLK software is not to be sold to consumers, but are designed for large orginizations that need 10s 100s or 1000s of Office installs. In this case the VLK is Invalid. This means it was likely created with a Piracy software called a Key Generator (KeyGen). In other words, Microsoft did not create or release this key. However, your Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 appears to be Genuine. I recommend uninstalling the Office Professional Plus 2007 and use the Office Professional Edition 2003 instead.
Thank you,

I am sorry, I didn't see the part where you mentioned buying the Office 2007. Dan is completly correct, contact the seller and demand your money back.
