Problems with MSN. Any ideas ???? RRS feed

    Hey everyone,

I need some help. For some reason I am doing very badly with MSN search. I understand that I don’t have the best website out there and that my knowledge is limited (so that means that I have probably missed some important elements of web building) but still enough is enough.

I have totally rebuild-improved my website (have changed everything).  Even got like 200 extra backlinks now. But MSN won come back to my website.  ITS NOT BLOCKED.  But the last time it was  indexed  2/10/2008. I have indexed only 1 page (main page) and it still has my paged cached from previous versions of my website.

I need some help here. I take any advice I can get. But please don’t tell me to read some blogs about it. (I did 10000 times)  I need some specific help.

Maybe its because I have changed from  EuropeWord.com/index.html to …./index.php ?

    Thank you !

  • Hi Robert,

I highly advise you institute JimYS' suggestions. You are ranked extremely low and canonicalizing your pages will help increase your ranking by not splitting link juice. Also, you have very few backlinks-- most of which are directory links.  Increasing quality backlinks will go a long ways in increasing your ranking.

  • Hi Robert, you have a great website and some great content. You mention that you have rebuild the site. I assume that you have change some of your webpage address as well. This might be the reason why MSN does not index your site well. If there is the case a 301 redirect might help.

I did a 301 with   “EuropeWord.com” to www.EuropeWord.com    to fix the www.      problem.

Do I need to do 301  from   index.html   to   index.php ?  Would that make any difference ?  hmmmm

Anyone could confirm that this would help ?

  • I typed "http://europeword.com/" into my browser and it did redirect to "http://www.europeword.com/". As for the index file you have a Home button pointing to "http://www.europeword.com/index.php", that mean you also have to do a 301 redirect with it.

  • I am sorry, but I don’t understand. What exactly you want me to do with that “home” button ? and how?

Is this the reason why MSN keeps ignoring my site ?

  • Is there any chance that a moderator could take a look at my problem ?

    Thanks

  • I saw your "Home" button pointing to http://www.europeword.com/index.php and you have another old page at http://www.europeword.com/index.htm, I would suggest that you do a 301 to redirect the http://www.europeword.com/index.htm to http://www.europeword.com/index.php so that you could take advantage on the leak link juice.

Friendly speaking I am not sure why MSN keep ignoring your site, but the redirect will make your site rank higher if the MSN  came back. I have a diabetes site which is also ignor by MSN and are trying to solve it, I have submit a feed back form but received an autoreply that did not help much. I would suggest that you submit the feed back form, if you are lucky maybe they will review your site manually.
