How to fully uninstall Live Mesh?

Question

I wanted to download Microsoft Live Essentials. To be able to do so, it made me uninstall Live Mesh. It still says that I have to uninstall Live Mesh, even though I already did so. How do I resolve this?Saturday, June 26, 2010 8:07 PM

Given that there exists accounts in that computer albiet inaccessible to you, it sound reasonable to assume that a Live Mesh installation might exist in at least one of these accounts. It would seem that your best course of action would be to delete these accounts and everything they contain in their share of the file system (files and profile specific application installations).

Sign into every account in your computer to ensure that Live Mesh is uninstalled in everyone of them. Remember that Live Mesh is installed on a login by login by basis as opposed to most applications that are installed once to become visible to every every login.

Only one account is used on a daily basis for this computer and I have no way to access the other accounts (even though this is my personal computer.) Is there any other way to remove this.Sunday, June 27, 2010 12:50 PM

Have a look at this thread: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/LiveMesh/thread/e22e0115-98d1-47eb-b495-ff3e10acb0a6
If the other accounts on the computer are User accounts created by you in the past, then you can either delete them or reset the passwords from an administrator account.
It may, however, be best for you to backup your data, bite the bullet, and format the PC, reinstalling the OS fresh, getting it up to date via Windows Update and installing your apps, restoring your data, and installing the beta.
