Cannot validate after hard replacement

Question
-
I transfered the files from my old drive to the new using the program that came with my WD hard drive.
Now I cannot get my Office XP to validate on the Genuine Advantage wesite.
I have tried to reinstall Office XP. When I run the the Office programs it tells me that they are already activated.
I also have tried many of the thing sugested on the website.
My OS is XP Home.
Any ideas?

Jim Dale,
1. Completely Uninstall Office, Run the cleaup tool:
The following article will allow you to download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and uninstall all Microsoft Office programs 2003 and below (NOT OFFICE 2007) on your computer. Then reinstall Microsoft Office using the genuine Office installation media and product key. See below:KB290301 – Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301.
The following link provides information for the Windows Product Key Update Tool instructions.
http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/PkuInstructions.aspx?displayLang=enUtility
Then try renistalling and activating with the original media and Product Key.
2. Get Activation Support here when you have completed the above process:
Also you may reference the following site for various Telephone Activation Centers:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326851
If you still have an issue at this point, re-run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostic Tool:Here is the download link:

Jim Dale,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program forum. Your issue is related to Windows Product Activation. I show your key in good standing and Not Activated. In an attempt to assist I would like to provide some information which may or may not help. If it doesn't help, the shortest road to victory is to simply reinstall your Microsoft Office program and activate with your Product Key.
From the Desktop:
1.
Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then Activate Windows.
Or, click the Windows Activation icon in the taskbar notification area next to the clock.2.
Click Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows now.
3.
Click Read the Windows Product Activation Privacy Statement, click Back, and then click Next.
4.
Follow the steps in the “Activate Windows by phone” dialog box, and then click Next.
Note The number appears now and differs based on the location that you select.5.
When activation is completed and you receive the following message:
You have successfully activated your copy of Windows
Then click OK.
Also you may reference the following site for various Telephone Activation Centers:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326851
For more information on how to activate Windows XP see the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307890
Thank you for visiting the OGA program forum.

I do not have a Activate Windows in My System tools but I have a Activate Product in my Microsoft Office Tools program folder.
When I run that I says that the product is activated.
When I run oobe/maoobe /a it says my Office XP is already activated.
I tried reinstalling by: Uninstalling in add/remove program and reinstalling. Uninstall from CD. Repair install from CD.
When doing these it would ask for my Product Key but it did not ask me to activate.
It also failed validation each time.
It there some place on my computer that I need to change that says my product is activated after I uninstall Office XP that will say that I need to activate when I reinstall Office XP.
Could this be because I transfered info from my old drive to the new drive.

Rcik I tried the things that you suggested and it did not help.
After I reinstalled Office XP when I opened any Office program it said it was already activated.
When I ran the validation it still came up with it not validated.
Below is the diagnostics.

I went and uninstalled all my Office programs by using the Windows Cleanup Install Utility.
I then went and C:documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Microsoft/Office/Data
I then changed the name of the data.dat file.
I then reinstalled Office XP. When I ran Office programs I had to activate them.
When I ran Genuine Advantage Office Validation it cane up validated.
Thanks for your help.
