Updating Lookup field using Workflow MS CRM RRS feed

  • Hi Experts,

    I have out of box workflow which will execute on create of account and will create the contact record and update the contact lookup field of account with created contact record. but it is creating the contact record and updating contact lookup (Parentcontactid) with Null.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Couple of things to check:

    1. Is the parentcontactid null, or is it that the new contact has a blank fullname ? It looks the same in the CRM form, but you can use Advanced Find to distinguish between the two
    2. Any errors in the workflow ?
