how do I change my user name RRS feed

  • Hello - I would like to change my user name.  How do I do this?

    1. Click on your name in top right corner of the Microsoft websites to access your profile
    2. Click on 'Edit my profile' under your avatar image
    3. Change the Display Name from Knot to anything you want (within reason)

  • I cannot change my display name.  I followed the instructions in the above post...

    3. Change the Display Name from Knot to anything you want (within reason)

    I don't get any errors when I save it just goes directly to my profile page with the same old name displayed.  Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

  • I tried it using Google Chrome and it worked Ok for me. Try first changing to something weird and verify it worked, then change it to the name you really want.
