Corporate address book synchronization error-prompts for credentials.. but only on some machines... RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm having an odd situation.. it seems that a few machines, I dont get prompted for these address book credentials, but on most they are getting prompted.

If you enter your domain userid and password it just comes back up, click cancel and it at least goes away.

Does anyone have any solutions for this?

    Thanks

I have found a solution to this.. not sure if this was a wise one.. but in the ABS folder.. i went to directory security and enabled anonymous access (i also made sure integrated was checked, but the key was the anonymous access).. now there is no prompt for credentials.

  • Yeah, that's not really a solution but a work-around as you've disabled the requirement for an authenticated session.  Are these prompts appearin gon internally or externally connected clients?  IF externally, have you configured an reverse HTTP proxy?

They are all internal in the same domain...

  • Does anyone have a solution to this? I am having the same problem and I am not sure whether it relates to the Proxy settings internally. but I am trying to see what else I can change.

    Thanx
