  • Upgrading to equipt from earlier oneCare, and trying to continue incremental backups

     

    1) I had onecare for a year and a half.

    2) I used it regularly for backups.

    3) I bought equipt.

    4) As per instructions for equipt installation, I unistalled original onecare, and installed whole equipt.  I used the same microsoft ID to register equipt, as the one used for registering original onecare

    5) The oneCare from equipt works..., but

    6) I wanted to continue with partial backups on top of all old backups...that does not seem to be possible

    7) OneCare is saying how no backups have been done yet.

    8) OneCare is offering me do to a full new backup, or to restore from the last old backup (it sees my external drive with old backups)

    9) I do not like any od those two options

    10) Is it possible to do properly set up oneCare so that is simply continutes with partial backups, as a continuation of old backups?

  • Whenever you reinstall OneCare or reset the database, you lose the ability to continue an old backup. Unfortunately, there is no way around this. You will need to start a new, full backup at this point.
