WHS RC1 Drive Extender Question RRS feed

    So I ran Vail Beta until is stopped working. Had 5 hard drives and drive extender worked awesome. I know that it no longer is part of WHS, and found that
    out the hard way last night when I installed RC1. My motherboard in the system that I was using does not have RAID built in so I really have no options but either
    put a card in or buy a new motherboard - Not fun. So I am in the same boat as many others and have a bad taste in my mouth about Microsoft. But my question is where did drive extender go? I mean it was a great technolgy, did microsoft just throw it away? Is it going to be available if you are willing to pay more money? Because seriously without it I might as well go back to a good NAS.

    It went into the big beta bit bucket. There are several threads on DEv2, including the one in which Microsoft announced its removal late last year.
