Ransomware infected while useing MSE(Microsoft Security Essentials)

Question
-
I have uninstalled MSE, will never use it again, and advice anyone who uses it to get some other VP. Why?
If anyone reading this post doesn't know what Ransomware is, you should hope you do not get it. All my photos, notebook pages, works spreadsheets, and personal files I can not access. They have been encrypted so I can't read them.
WHile MSE was my VP on my PC Ransomware got thru and encrypted all my files with Cryptxxx Version4. As of now there is no decryptor tool that can decrypt my files. What this ransomware does is rename the file, rename the file type, and encrypt everything in the file. Then they leave a ransom note that pops up and if you don't pay the ransom your files are un readable.

Every single signature based AV will fail to protect you 100% (even those you pay for). Once the payload starts to be detected they just run it through a crypter and redeploy.
Do you have a question or was this just a rant?

Ya, my question is why did MSE let ransomware slip thru. But you already answered with a lame excuss>>>>We can't catch everything. To me that's an easy way out. So I'm setting here with all my files, medical records, etc. encrypted and not be able to access them. And the reason is because MSE can't catch everything. I'm 62 with a bad memory so I need those notes on my past medical records.
Does Bill Gates care? NO. He sets on his billions when he should either shut MSE down or make it better. I say shut it down before others like myself get their personal information encrypted by ransomware.
BTW. THere's a site called Dr. Web, I sent a sample and they said they can decrypte my files. But it will cost me around $160.00, I don't have $160. Tell Bill to pay Dr. Web and I'll call it even. B.Gates should pay for the cost of any ransomware decrypting when his MSE lets it slip thru and infects one of his users.- Edited by musky8it Monday, September 12, 2016 6:11 PM
