How does one reply to a post? I see no Reply button.
I am using Firefox 30.0, which Mozilla tells me is up-to-date.

Ah, I see the issue.
The thread you're trying to reply to is locked, so you can't reply in it.
As for getting your account verified to post images/links, there's a verification thread stuck at the top of this forum that you can post in to have your account verified:

Hi,
There's a link under each post labeled 'Reply' that you can click:

No, there isn't. Not in Firefox and not in IE11, which I'm in now. In THIS forum, yes, there are the Reply buttons but not on THIS page: Note: the system won't let me post a link, saying it needs to verify my account, but I verified it when I signed in with a new code that was mailed to me.

I searched for the following in Google:
when I move a file into another folder in windows 7, why doesn't the folder update to show the file has been moved?
The very first listing on that page is the page I wanted to post to. The author said he wanted feedback, and I wanted to give him some and tell him that there was one error in the procedure he recommended.

Maybe a cool idea, instead of hiding the reply link, would be to put the word "locked" there so people know whats up.
Yeah, I'd agree with that. You could always start up a thread in the suggestions forum requesting this, I bet other moderators run into complaints about this type of issue as well and would like to see this too.
